About PhoenixForge
Each tile has different raised patterns on its four sides and its underside. Select a tile, rotate it left or right, flip it, move it to an empty slot, or swap it with another tile. Warm lamp light passes through the tiles and casts their patterns onto a paper screen. A level is cleared when the combined shadow matches the target shown in the corner of the screen.
There are four chapters and twenty five stages. Early stages only ask you to change facing and position. Later stages add stained glass tiles whose shadows turn amber, crimson, or teal, and overlapping colors become a dusk tone. Later still you will meet two lamps at once, front tiles blocking the shadow of tiles behind them, and stages with a limited number of turns. Some tiles are pinned in place and can only be rotated.
The home screen continues the next unfinished stage. The lantern map shows every stage on a path. Any cleared stage can be replayed at any time. The next unplayed stage unlocks after the previous one is cleared. A gallery stores finished shadow patterns. A rules page explains the controls. The game is offline, needs no account, and saves progress on the device.
